Science is mandatory for all students from Year 7 to Year 10.
Bắn cá phá hũScience 7-10 provides a way of inquiring about the world around us. It explores evidence and investigates ways to discover, develop and produce solutions to real-world problems. Science emphasises the skills for working scientifically, as well as critical and creative thinking to address scientific issues.

Leadership opportunities are available with membership of the Cumberland High School High Performance Science Team. The team provides opportunities for our students to extend their skills, knowledge and understanding of science through performance and demonstration of dynamic science experiments and initiatives including the Science InspireBắn cá phá hũ program with local primary schools as well as performances for National Science Week, Open Night and other school community events.
Outstanding Year 11 Science students have the opportunity to work as a Science Intern as part of the Future ProjectBắn cá phá hũ in conjunction with The Kings School and biotechnology companies.
All Cumberland Science students have free access to the Cosmos Lessons online interactive learning platform (developed by Stile) including 'Squiz': a fun new mobile app to help students quickly master basic scientific concepts and terminology.
Students are encouraged to participate in intellectual pursuits beyond the classroom with many of our students participating in a range of competitions, challenges and forums including the Australian Science Olympiad, Big Science Competition, International Completions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) and more with great success!
